    Chapter Five – Loving Yourself

    Chapter Five
If we don’t love ourselves, we are incapable of loving others
People who reject themselves are doomed to a life of misery and failure
It is disrespectful and insulting to Him for us to despise ourselves
    Enjoying Life
Jesus died so we could have life and enjoy it (John 10:10)
Make a decision to develop a new and more positive attitude toward yourself
    Balanced Attitude
Knowing our gifts come from God, don’t critically appraise someone who can’t excel at the same things we do
We definitely need to avoid pride (Proverbs 16:18)
    Self-hatred, self-rejection, and self-abasement isn’t the answer either
I can do nothing of value unless Christ is flowing through me
We are nothing, but we are vessels for Him to flow through
Desire peaceful relations with God and with ourselves and with fellow man (1 Peter 3:11)
Jesus died so we could be free (John 8:36)
Learn to see ourselves the way He sees us, precious and valuable
God isn’t honored by people who have a bad attitude towards themselves
Don’t Be Afraid of the Light
The light of God exposes things (John 3:20)
Anything hidden has power of us
He wants us to be truthful with ourselves, with Him, and with others
We are held in bondage by what we refuse to deal with
    A New Beginning
God knows everything and He loves you anyway
Don’t allow your weaknesses to make you hate yourself
Love yourself in spite of everything you see wrong with yourself
Entering God’s Rest Concerning Your Faults
God wants you to give yourself permission to have weakness
When we cast our care upon Him, He takes our care and carries it for us (1 Peter 5:7)
Accept a Blessing For Jesus’ Sake
We won’t receive the blessings God offers because of the way we see ourselves
God doesn’t want you to experience or fear evil anymore
