Chapter Four – Changing Your Self-Image

Chapter Four – Changing Your Self-Image
Insecurity is why some people struggle for position and power
Jesus said the last will be first and the first will be last (Matthew 19:30)
True promotion comes from God (Psalm 75:6)
    The Power of Position
Until we accept and approve of ourselves, no amount of approval from others will keep us permanently secure
God isn’t impressed with positions that people hold (Galatians 2:6)
We can have a healthy self-image a part from our position or job title
The only thing or person in life we absolutely cannot do without is God
Face the Truth and Be Set Free
The only way out of bondage is to go through what we need to go through
Keep God first so He can bless you with all the things you deserve
Failing Doesn’t Make You A Failure
Sometimes the only way we can find out what we are meant to be doing in life is to try some things
You can’t be good at everything, which is why we all have different gifts
    Getting Past Your Past
Don’t let your past dictate your future
We are recreated in Christ to do the good works He wants us to do (Ephesians 2:10)
Don’t let your past failures leave you hopeless about your future success
Whatever Satan stole through deception, God will restore double (Zechariah 9:12)
    People With A Past
Mary Magdalene anointed Jesus’ feet out of pure love
Jesus saw her heart, not her past, though the Pharisees did not
Mary was a woman with a past, Jesus forgave her, and she had a great future
All things work out good for those who pray, love God, and want His will in their lives
You Will Succeed If You Refuse To Stop Trying
Failure is part of every major success story because failing our way to success humbles us
God wants you to press on past mistakes
All things are possible to the one who believes (Mark 9:23)
You are not a failure because you have failed
